Cross-country keeps you active

If you want to stay active and healthy in winter, cross-country skiing is the ideal sport. Whether in classic style or the somewhat more athletic "skating" technique - cross-country keeps you young. Our guests have a special advantage, since they can access an XC trail right outside Ferienclub Bellevue. Which is, in turn, your gateway to a total of around 127 kilometers of trails. Incidentally, you can use the Kaiserwinkl trails at no charge!

This first-class trail network, for beginners as well as experienced XCers, offers incredible variety. That's one reason why cross-country pros come to the region to train and prepare perfectly for upcoming events. One real treat for cross-country skiers is the Kaiserwinkl Loipe with a total length of 25 km, as is the tranquil See Loipe, taking you on an 8 km circumnavigation of Lake Walchsee. On Tuesdays and Thursdays during the winter months, a floodlit night trail is open from 6 - 9 p.m. at the sports grounds in Kössen.

Awards are a reflection of top quality: In the Kaiserwinkl region, we give special attention to the quality of our cross-country trails - which has earned us the Tyrol Cross-Country Seal of Quality. This recognition is only given to cross-country regions that offer stand-out conditions, excellently tracked trails, very good trail markings, as well as a safety infrastructure suitable for cross-country enthusiasts. In a test conducted in winter 2012/13 by the well-known test portal, the region received a top rating of 5 stars (of 5 possible) and was crowned the top cross-country ski area internationally.

In Walchsee, you also have the opportunity to rent out your cross-country ski equipment (at the Brandauer ski-rental center). In addition, cross-country schools offer courses for the whole family - for beginners and experienced skiers. Learning cross-country is made easy at the Zahmer Kaiser Ski School. Learn more by stopping by the Bellevue reception desk.

Bellevue Tip:

Cross-country skiers staying at Ferienclub Bellevue can hop on an XC trail right outside the hotel, the gateway to a network extending out for some 127 kilometers. Guests can also borrow cross-country skiing equipment. And with your Kaiserwinkl Card, can even ride the regional bus for free.
