Close to Lake Walchsee are wonderful, clearly marked bike paths and mountain-bike trails. Circle the Schwemm high moors, ride to neighboring Kössen, or to Ebbs on the way to Kufstein. Or experience the unique sights that accompany your next mountain-bike tour. The region boasts 180 km of cycle paths and E-bike routes, along with 125 km of excellently maintained MTB trails, just waiting for you to discover - No matter what your condition or biking skills - there is something here for everyone.

Mozart Bike Tour & Tyrol Biking Region: The 12th stage of the Mozart Bike Tour takes you through the Kaiserwinkl, from Niederndorf to Kössen. Within the Tyrol Biking Region, the 15th and final stage brings you to Walchsee. Brief summary of the 15th stage: from St. Johann in Tirol, Erpfendorf to Hochkössen/Kössen and then over the Riedberg to Walchsee.

Cycling in Kaiserwinkl – the Kaiserwinkl Tour

Start this family-friendly tour from right here at Ferienclub Bellevue. You will ride to, and around the Schwemm (the biggest moorland area in Northern Tyrol, with the so-called “Schwemm Tower”), then around the Miesberg to Durchholzen. At the lift station above Amberg, along the shores of Lake Walchsee to the Seemühle campground. Via Bichlach and past the Bichlach fishing pond to the Lederer Herrgott in Schwendt. Through the village of Schwendt, then right via Unterhochstätt and the Eurocamp to Staffenbrücke bridge in Kössen, and via Grundharting back to Walchsee and Ferienclub Bellevue (this trail description has been adapted for guests of Ferienclub Bellevue).

Mountain Bike Tour to the Wandberg - Burgeralm

From Rettenschöss to Feistenau (Gasthaus Schöne Aussicht), a 3 km paved village road. From Feistenau, a farm lane with wonderful panoramic views of the Kaisergebirge and Hohe Tauern mountains.

After riding a total of 7.2 km, you will reach two huts that serve refreshments, the Wandberg and Burgeralm.

Length 7.2 km - gains 1102 m – drops 680 m – highest point 1342 m.
